What does 10 × 10 × 10 mean?

The dimensions describe a nominal three-run kitchen footprint used to organize a package. They do not mean each wall should be filled edge-to-edge with cabinetry. Real kitchens need allowances for corners, appliances, door and window openings, fillers, finished panels and installation clearances.

RTA: what does ready-to-assemble mean?

RTA means the cabinetry is supplied ready for assembly rather than as fully assembled cabinet boxes. Plan for cabinet assembly as well as installation, levelling, fastening, door and drawer adjustment, and fitting of project-specific finishing pieces.

Choose the construction required for the project before comparing finishes, and keep the selected construction and finish consistent across the kitchen order. Measure a U-shaped kitchen before ordering

Measure each usable wall separately. Record ceiling height, doors, windows, plumbing, electrical locations and any obstruction that changes usable cabinet space. Establish both U-shaped corners first, then confirm sink and appliance positions before allocating the remaining cabinet widths.

Corner planning matters

A U-shaped kitchen has two corners that can affect several adjacent cabinet widths. Confirm the intended corner-cabinet solution and check door, drawer, appliance and handle clearances on both sides. A small change at one corner can change the cabinet combination farther along the run.
