When to use a 42-inch blind corner base cabinet
A blind corner cabinet uses part of the corner space while the adjoining cabinet run approaches from the perpendicular wall. BBC42 should be selected from the full kitchen layout rather than from wall length alone. The cabinet width does not by itself determine the final corner opening or the position of the adjacent cabinet.
Plan the corner before ordering
Verify both wall runs, the corner condition and the cabinet immediately beside BBC42. Check that nearby doors, drawers, handles and appliances can open without interference. A filler or other fitting allowance may be required depending on the layout and selected adjacent cabinet. Do not assume the cabinet should be installed tight to a wall, appliance or perpendicular cabinet without checking operating clearance.
Particle board or plywood box

Finishing pieces and countertop planning
A complete cabinet run can require fillers, finished end panels, toe kick, handles or trim depending on which surfaces remain exposed and how the corner is laid out. Confirm those pieces from the complete kitchen plan. Countertop templating and fabrication should follow the final installed cabinet layout rather than nominal cabinet dimensions alone.
